Amazon’s rumoured high-end Android tablet continues to take on more characteristics of a full-blown tablet. According to a report from investment firm Detwiler Fenton, it will be capable of streaming video and will come bundled with a promotional video service offer. It is likely to be none other than its Amazon Instant Video service which is already offered to Amazon Prime customers. The device will also apparently sport a 10.1-inch display.
The report also suggests that the Amazon “Hollywood” tablet will launch later this year and sell for around US$399 “to create enough of a pricing differential between it and the iPad.” Smaller tablets with less powerful devices are also planned (lending credence to earlier rumours).
