The tablet wars may have claimed another victim. Fusion Garage, the company behind the JooJoo and Grid 10 tablets, appears to be on their last rope with a number of signs pointing to an imminent demise.
Fusion Garage’s website was unavailable for most of the weekend. It is now up again but some portions, such as their blog, are still unavailable. Their online store also warns that stock is running low and it is not possible to place orders.
Fusion Garage’s US PR firm McGrath Power has confirmed to The Verge that it has decided to stop representing the company due to its inability to communicate with the company:
Unfortunately, none of our efforts have resulted in any communication from the company to the customers. Given all of this, we don’t have any other choice but to cease working with Fusion Garage effective tomorrow.
The law firm representing Fusion Garage in its lawsuit with AOL (and TechCrunch) over the CrunchPad, has also asked to stop representing the firm. The company cites “Fusion Garage’s non-payment of attorneys’ fees and associated costs and a breakdown of the attorney-client relationship” as reasons for the request.
All in all, it does not paint a promising picture for Fusion Garage’s future…
