T-Mobile USA has announced that it has rolled out HSPA+ 42Mbps service to 41 new markets. Among these are Albuquerque, New Mexico; Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Sacramento and San Diego, California; Salt Lake City, Utah and San Antonio, Texas.
Using its T-Mobile Rocket 3.0 data stick, its first 42Mbps device, T-Mobile has seen average download speeds of almost 10Mbps with peak speeds reaching 27Mbps.
It now offers its 4G HSPA+ 42Mbps service in a total of 96 markets. T-Mobile also promised further expansion. In the meantime, its slower 4G network (HSPA+ 21) covers 184 markets and more than 200 million people.
