T-Mobile USA today announced the myTouch 4G Slide. T-Mobile is highlighting the device’s camera, calling it “the most advanced camera of any smartphone with zero shutter lag, backside illuminated sensor and additional premium digital camera features that offer consumers a viable replacement for their digital point-and-shoot cameras.” Among these features are an improved low-light performance, thanks in part to a a wide aperture lens (f/2.2), and zero shutter lag.

- Operating system: Google Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3.0

- Input: Slide-out QWERTY keyboard, touchscreen
- Rear-facing camera: 8MP with 1080p video recording, dual LED flash
- Front-facing camera: None
T-Mobile USA will offer the myTouch 4G Slide starting in July for US$199.99 with a two-year contract.
