When the Samsung Galaxy S launched in the US under a variety of different names back in June 2010, the specifications of the different were pretty much the same except for some small differences. The differences between Samsung Galaxy S II models could be more significant if recent leaks about the Samsung Hercules are correct.
Pictures and details obtained by TMoNews.com and PocketNow.com confirm that T-Mobile USA will launch a Galaxy S II model and that it will be the device codenamed Hercules. Unlike the Galaxy S II we have seen so far, the Hercules sports a larger 4.5-inch display (compared to a 4.3-inch display for the announced one).
Other specifications include a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor (rather than a Samsung Exynos processor), Google Android 2.3, HSPA+ (42Mbps) connectivity, 1GB RAM, 16GB of onboard memory, an 8MP camera with 1080p HD video capture, and NFC capabilities.
A release date of September 26th is rumoured. There are no pricing details but expect premium pricing for what is likely to be a T-Mobile USA flagship device.
A separate report suggests that the Samsung Hercules is also headed to TELUS Mobility here in Canada.
