The iPhone 5 are showing no sign of slowing down. The Wall Street Journal yesterday reported that Sprint will be the latest US carrier to offer the iPhone. Citing “people familiar with the matter,”, it indicated the Sprint will launch the iPhone 5 sometime in mid-October. One source also adds that Sprint will also carry the iPhone 4, suggesting that Apple will not discontinue it but likely reduce its price (and perhaps offer an 8GB model as well).
The Wall Street Journal also reports that the new iPhone will be similar to the current iPhone 4 but with an improved camera and operating system (iOS 5 presumably).
The next-generation iPhone will also be carried by both Verizon Wireless and AT&T which today offer the iPhone 4.
