Sprint appears set to have a busy CTIA next week. BGR sources have revealed that the carrier will announce a number of new devices at the event. The details line up with similar rumours seen in the last few days.
First up is the HTC EVO 3D. Look for a smartphone powered with a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm 8660 Snapdragon processor, and Android 2.3 with HTC Sense. It will come with a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540)autostereoscopic 3D display, 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM (those specs appear inverted by BGR), dual rear-facing 5MP cameras and front-facing 1.3MP camera, and a 1730mAh battery. It will also be able to output both 1080p and 3D 720p video.
Sprint also appears set to announce the HTC EVO View 4G. This 7-inch tablet appears very similar to the HTC Flyer. It will be powered by Android 2.3 and a tablet-optimized version of HTC Sense and HTC Scribe with optional pen support. It will come with rear-facing 5MP and front-facing 1.3MP cameras, a 4000mAh battery, DLNA, HDMI-out support, and an aluminium unibody design.
Supporting earlier rumours, BGR.com also reports that Sprint will also announce a WiMAX version of the Motorola XOOM. It could also announce its plans for the upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook (including Wi-Fi-only and WiMAX models).
Lastly, Sprint could announce the Samsung Rant 3, an eco-friendly 3G messaging device with a solar rechargeable battery door.
