Sears Canada has apparently notified its affiliates that it will begin to take pre-orders for the RIM BlackBerry PlayBook on March 12th. The email sent out also indicates that shipments will begin on April 10th, a date we’ve heard before.
I’m sure you’ve heard the buzz: BlackBerry is realeasing [sic] the “Playbook” [sic] – an innovative tablet from the smartphone company. Sears has the Playbook [sic] available for pre-order on March 12 (to be shipped out April 10).
There is no word on pricing in the Sears email or their website yet but we should find out this weekend.
Assuming this is legitimate (a few too many typos), I wonder if other retailers will also begin to offer pre-orders on March 12th as well. Definitely something worth keeping an eye on…
