SanDisk today announced a new microSD storage card that raises storage limits to 64GB. The 64GB SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDXC card uses the SDXC (for eXtended Capacity) specification introduced in 2009.
The 64GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC card supports transfer speeds up to 30MBps and offer the Class 6 performance needed to capture full HD videos.
Before you rush out to place your order for one of these (for US$219.99), you’ll need to know that it’s unlikely that these cards will work correctly with your phone or tablet as they require an SDXC-compatible slot.
