Samsung today announced that its upcoming Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet will ship with Android 3.1 rather than Android 3.0 has reported earlier. Confirmation came via its Facebook page: “in regards to 3.0 message.The original had 3.0 but now it will be with Android 3.1.”
Google unveiled Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) at its Google I/O conference. It includes a number of new features such as improved multitasking functionality, resizable widgets, USB host support (providing support for cameras, game controllers, mice and more).
Samsung earlier confirmed that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will launch on June 8th in the US.
