Apple is set to refresh its MacBook Air lineup in Q1 2012 as it prepares to face more competition from other ultrabooks. Both the 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch models will get updates. They will also be joined for the first time by a 15-inch model. The Digitimes reports sheds no light as to what improvements we can expect.
Digitimes’ sources indicate that pilot production has already begun for all the new Air models.
Apple’s MacBook Air notebooks contributed as much as 28 percent of all Apple notebook sales in October, according to research firms NPD and Morgan Stanley.
