A leaked internal document obtained by MobileSyrup shows that Rogers Wireless is gearing up to offer its “Rogers On Demand” service, already available on the iPhone and BlackBerry and Android smartphones, to the iPad or Android tablets (or more likely both). The documents lists a number of Android tablets that will support the service: The LG Optimus tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and two that it does not currently offer, the Acer Iconia and the HTC Puccini LTE.
In late August, Rogers announced that it would launch its LTE network (already live in Ottawa) in Toronto on September 28th. Among the devices it promised was an LTE tablet from “a leading manufacturer.” It would appear that we now know which tablet this will be.
The HTC Puccini LTE is already available from AT&T where it sells as the HTC Jetstream for US$699.99 with a two-year contract.
