Rogers last week announced that it would offer the Galaxy Nexus starting in early 2012. At the same time, it gave its existing customers a chance to reserve it through its Reservation System. Today comes word that Rogers has halted this practice. It provided the following explanation for the decision:
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to temporarily remove the Galaxy Nexus by Samsung, from the Rogers Reservation System. For those who have already reserved a device, their place in line has been secured. For those still eager to reserve the Galaxy Nexus, the device will be back up on the Reservation System soon.”
Bell and its flanker brand Virgin Mobile have a Canadian exclusive on the Galaxy Nexus until early 2012 (with pre-orders starting today ahead of a December 8th launch). It’s likely that this exclusive extends to pre-orders.
We will let you know as soon as the Galaxy Nexus makes its return to Rogers’ Reservation system.
