Rogers extends LTE network coverage in Toronto and Vancouver areas

Rogers CommunicationsRogers today announced that it has expanded its LTE coverage in the Toronto and Vancouver areas. In the Toronto region, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, and Markham all now have access to Rogers’ LTE network. Around Vancouver, you can now add West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, Surrey and Maple Ridge.

“Today more Rogers customers from the east and west can experience the future of fast as we continue to expand the gold standard wireless network technology, the Rogers LTE network to more Canadian cities surrounding Toronto and Vancouver,” said John Boynton, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Rogers Communications. “We are proud to be first to offer the LTE network to more cities in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding Vancouver.”

Rogers offers a number of LTE devices now, including the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE, the HTC Raider and the HTC Jetstream LTE tablet.

Rogers first rolled out its LTE network this summer in Ottawa. It added Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver in September.
