Samsung could beat Apple to market with a new Retina-resolution tablet of its own. Citing a “trusted source,” BGR is reporting that Samsung could launch an 11.6-inch tablet powered by Google Android 4.0 as early as MWC 2012 in February.
The new tablet would not be much larger than the Galaxy Tab 10.1 due to a thinner bezel. Its display will offer a resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels. It will also come with a 2GHz dual-core Exynos 5250 processor. Other features include Android Beam support and a special docking mode to allowing game on HDTVs.
There is no word on pricing or whether this tablet will be known as the Galaxy Tab 11.1.
