A leaked picture of a portion of the upcoming Google Nexus Prime apparently confirms the rumour that the next Google Android flagship device will come with a 720p Super AMOLED HD display. It also supports earlier claims of a 4.6-inch-sized display.
The picture shows a resolution of 1184 by 720 pixels and a pixel density of 320ppi. The resolution seems odd as a 720p display should come in at 1280 by 720 pixels. This resolution defines the active area and excludes the status bar area at the top and the three button strip at the bottom.
The picture also hints at a curved contour reminiscent of the Nexus S.
Samsung and Google are expected to unveil the Nexus Prime along with Ice Cream Sandwich, the next major version of Android, at next week’s Unpacked event.
