Nokia may unveil up to three new Windows Phone smartphones at its upcoming Nokia World event. Most rumours have pointed to one and perhaps two devices (the Nokia Sea Ray and Sabre) but an anonymous MyNokiaBlog.com source now indicates that there will also be a third and higher-end device. Specifications-wise, here is what rumours to date suggest:
Rumoured Nokia Sea Ray specifications:
- Processor: 1.4GHz single-core
- Operating system: Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5
- Display: 3.7-inch AMOLED Clear Black Display
- Storage: 16GB internal
- Rear-facing camera: 8MP AF with Carl-Zeiss optics
- Battery: 1,540mAh
Rumoured Nokia Sabre specifications:
- Processor: 1.4GHz single-core
- Operating system: Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5
- Display: 3.7-inch LCD Clear Black Display
- Storage: 8GB internal
- Rear-facing camera: 5MP AF
- Other: Interchangeable back cover
The last device is apparently codenamed Ace and appears to be the high-end device in Nokia’s Windows Phone portfolio. The specifications call for “Mango+” (a typo or an enhanced version of the OS?) and suggests that it could be AT&T’s first LTE smartphone when it launches in Q1 2012.
Rumoured Nokia Ace specifications:
- Processor: 1.4GHz single-core
- Operating system: Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5
- Cellular connectivity: HSPA+/LTE
- Display: 4.3-inch AMOLED Clear Black Display
- Storage: 16GB internal
- Rear-facing camera: 8MP AF with Carl-Zeiss optics
- Battery: 1,800mAh
If that’s not enough, there is also a hint that “there may be more in the way of Nokia high end” at MWC 2012.
