Microsoft and Nokia recently struck up a new partnership over Windows Phone. That relationship could get quite a bit closer sometime later this year. According to industry insider Eldar Murtazin, Nokia will begin discussions to sell its phone division to Microsoft next week.
The outcome of these negotiations will not be made public but, according to Murtazin, “both companies are very much in a hurry.” A deal could be reached and closed as early as before the end of the year.
