It appears that both Nokia and Samsung have some additional Windows Phone smartphones waiting in the wings. References to the Nokia Sun, Nokia Lumia 800 and Samsung Monument have surfaced today.
The French website MonWindowsPhone.com has been tipped about the Nokia Sun which appears headed to Orange in France in mid-November. A leaked presentation screenshot suggest it will come with a 1.4GHz processor, Windows Phone 7.5, a 3.7-inch AMOLED display, 16GB of internal memory, an 8MP camera, and a polycarbonate unibody shell. It also could be the first Windows Phone device to use a micro-SIM card.
The Nokia Sun’s specification are quite similar to those of the Nokia Sea Ray, suggesting that it could be a variant or perhaps its official name.
Another website, Occasionalgamer.com, which develops Windows Phone 7 games, has outed two additional devices courtesy of a game statistics page it maintains. Listed on the page under “Phone Usage” are the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Samsung Monument. No details are available about the devices themselves unfortunately.
