It has been widely expected that Nokia will unveil its first Windows Phone device at the upcoming Nokia World event. Recent leaks have also hinted at the fact that Nokia has up to three devices waiting in the wings. Now, CEO Stephen Elop has confirmed that the company will announce more than one device by saying that Nokia will introduce its “first products based on Windows” (note the plural) this quarter. Or is Nokia also getting into the Windows business (perhaps with a Windows 7 tablet) given the mention of Windows products rather than a more specific Windows Phone products?
It is likely that Nokia will unveil the Windows Phone 7.5-based Sea Ray and Sabre, two devices accidentally named by Microsoft Canada last week. It remains to be seen if it will announce the Ace, a higher-end device, especially if it is not released until early 2012.
All should be settled at Nokia World…
