NoDo Windows Phone 7 update delayed to second half of March?

Microsoft Windows Phone

It appears that the NoDo Windows Phone 7 update has slipped from the first half of March into the second half of the month. This may well be due to the issues that Microsoft ran into with the first update (the pre-update update?) which was meant to get devices ready for NoDo.

The French Microsoft Windows Phone blog yesterday announced that the update would be pushed out in the second half of March. Here is my translation of the relevant portion of the post:

We are delighted to share with you that this update will be available in the second half of March through your Zune software. A notification will be pushed out to all Windows Phone 7 devices to allow you to perform the update under the best conditions.

A separate post (now removed) on the Microsoft Answers forums also confirmed that the release had been delayed:

You are right, the NoDo update was suppose to be released on March 7th, but it has been postponed. We don’t know a date yet, but Microsoft will push the update soon.

NoDo, announced at MWC 2011, will include cut-and-paste functionality, improved integration with Microsoft services like Bing and the Windows Marketplace, and a number of performance improvements. It will also add support for CDMA networks.
