A US judge has denied Samsung’s request to see unreleased Apple products such as the iPhone 5. Samsung had made the request in response to Apple’s own request to see a number of Samsung’s products in their patent infringement lawsuits.
In her decision, US District Judge Lucy Koh wrote:
“Common sense suggests that allegations of copying are necessarily directed at Apple’s existing products, to which Samsung has access and could potentially mimic and not at Apple’s unreleased, inaccessible, next generation products.”
It still remains to be seen if Apple will win its injunction against the Galaxy phones and tablets.
