Another analyst has weighed in with their expectations for the next Apple iPhone. According to Jefferies & Co. analyst Peter Misek, it will be called the iPhone 4S. Supporting earlier rumours, it will "include minor cosmetic changes, better cameras, A5 dual-core processor, and HSPA+ support." Misek also supports rumours of a September launch.
According to Misek’s sources, Apple may have been planning to unveil two iPhones this year: The iPhone 4S and an LTE version (likely the iPhone 5). Apple had to drop plans for the latter as Qualcomm chipset yields have not sufficient.
Apple also appears set to announce new carriers for the upcoming iPhone. Among them could be Sprint, T-Mobile, and China Mobile. The first two could be offering iPhones in time for the holidays with China Mobile following sometime in 2012. An AWS version suggests that we could also see the iPhone offered by Canadian carriers Mobilicity, Videotron and WIND Mobile.
