Italian blog Samsung.hdblog.it is reporting that Samsung is hard at work on a successor for its original 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab. While some specifications will feel quite familiar, it will also benefit from a number of upgrades as you would expect.
The new device, possibly to be called the Galaxy Tab 7, will apparently retain its 7-inch WSVGA display but add IPS technology. It will also be powered by Google Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) with Samsung’s TouchWiz 4.0 user interface as well as a 1.2Ghz Samsung Exynos processor. It will also come with 1GB RAM, 2GB ROM, 16GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot. Users will also be able to make calls (including video calls) and send SMS.
Samsung appears set to release the Galaxy Tab 7 in the fall.
