Motorola delays launch of DROID BIONIC as far as Q3 2011

Verizon DROID BIONIC

The Wall Street Journal has learned that Motorola is delaying the launch of the DROID BIONIC 4G for Verizon. Announced at CES 2011 as part of a Verizon 4G device lineup, it was scheduled to launch sometime in the first half of the year. A Motorola spokeswoman has confirmed that “Based on compelling feedback since the show, we are incorporating several enhancements to make this an even better consumer experience.” As a result, Motorola and Verizon may push the launch back to Q3.

No details were given as to what new features we can expect to see on the DROID BIONIC when it launches.

Verizon currently offers only one 4G smartphone, the HTC Thunderbolt. It is expected to launch the Samsung DROID Charge this month and the LG Revolution next month.
