According to AndroidAndMe sources, Sprint will launch both the Motorola ATRIX smartphone and XOOM tablet on its 4G network next month. The names may be changed due to trademark issues but should otherwise be very similar to the current devices.
Sprint and Motorola have not had the strongest relationship in the past but that appears to be changing as both companies look to compete against Apple’s iPhone (which recently launched on Verizon, a traditionally strong Motorola partner).
A separately leaked image of a Sprint-branded Motorola XOOM gives credence to the rumour.
Look for an announcement in April as Sprint is expected to use CTIA to focus on the HTC EVO 3D. The anticipated release of the Google Nexus S 4G may also have played a role in pushing out the Motorola announcement.
