About a week ago, we found out about the BlackBerry Apollo which appeared to be a new Curve model. It now appears that the Apollo was a design that never made it to market. Instead, the leaked specifications we saw belong to a future Curve model codenamed Sedona (also known internally at RIM as R010).
The BlackBerry Curve Sedona is said to be about half the size of the Bold 9700/9780 and extremely thin. The display appears to be just a bit smaller than that of the Bold and is set to offer a higher resolution than that of any current BlackBerry.
The report also confirms it will sport BlackBerry 6.1 with an Android-like notification system at the top of the display. It also sounds like it’s not quite ready for prime time as it remains quite buggy.
If nothing else, it does look like RIM’s R&D department is quite busy…
