Rumours last month suggested that Google was working on an update to Honeycomb, its tablet-only version of Android. A comment made by a Google employee in reference to an Exchange bug logged on the Android Open Handset Alliance Project suggests that it’s not only real but could be headed to the Motorola XOOM (essentially, Google’s Honeycomb reference device) within days: “There should be a 3.2 update coming within days, and that should help those of you with Xoom.”
Google has yet to officially announce Android 3.2 so there are no specific timelines or details as to what else the update could contain. Past rumours have indicated that it would also add support for 7-inch tablets and Qualcomm processors as well as a number of other updates and fixes.
