A new rumour suggests that LG could be building a Nexus tablet for Google. According to Russian site Mobile-Review.com’s Eldar Murtazin, the tablet could be ready as early as late summer or early fall.
Details are scarce but the Nexus tablet would use Google Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and could be offered as a reference device for developers and OEMs. It could also simply be a device that Google plans to use strictly internally as BGR points out.
The report also suggests that HTC, Motorola, and Samsung all passed on the opportunity to build this device, preferring to focus on their own tablet offerings.
We’ll have to see how this rumour develops…
