Lenovo is apparently thinking that 7- to 10-inch tablets may be too small for some purposes. Wiliam Cai, a senior marketing specialist for Lenovo, confirmed that the company is working on a 23-inch tablet. Rather than having multiple screens spread across the house, the tablet could be carried from room to room. It could be used on a table in one room and docked in another for example.
Lenovo is basing its design on its All-in-one desktop range. It is currently focused on battery life and getting the weight down as much as possible but hopes to have it out sometime this year.
There are no details on the tablet’s specifications at this time.
Update: Lenovo has now issued a statement that indicates that it is not working on a 23-inch display: According to an email received by PCMag.com, “It is usually not our practice to talk about unannounced products, but in this case I will tell you that we have no plans to introduce a 23-inch tablet.”
