ThisIsMyNext.com has learned that Lenovo could soon throw its hat into the Android tablet game by the summer. A leaked PowerPoint slide deck has revealed that the Chinese company could soon launch both 10.1-inch and 7-inch Android 3.0 tablets.
The larger tablet (known both as the ThinkPad Tablet and Think Slate) would be aimed at “on-the-go professionals.” It would come with a “keyboard portfolio case” and optional stylus. It would be powered by a dual-core Tegra 2 processor and come with 3G and 4G connectivity options, an IPS WXGA (1280 x 800) display, USB 2.0 and micro-USB ports, a mini-HDMI port, an SD card slot, and both front and rear-facing cameras. Models with 16, 32, and 64GB of onboard memory could be available as early as this summer. Pricing could start at US$499.
Less is known about the 7-inch model. It only appears in a timeline slide with few hardware details. It will be powered by a dual-core ARM processor and Android 3.0 with Lenovo’s UI. It is currently scheduled for a Q4 worldwide release.
