A leaked confidential HP product brief obtained by PreCentral.net shows what HP apparently has in mind for webOS for the rest of 2011. Fresh off the launch of the HP TouchPad (available in 16 and 32GB models), the document reveals a number of additional launches this year. Sadly, there are no mysterious devices we had not heard of before or hints of what we could see in 2012.
In August, HP will launch two more HP TouchPad models. The first, possibly the rumoured white version, will come with 64GB of onboard storage and possibly sport an upgraded processor (a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon perhaps). The second will be a 4G (HSPA+) 32GB model for AT&T. No other specification changes are planned for this second model.
The HP Pre 3 and the 7-inch Opal tablet (possibly to be marketed as the HP TouchPad7) will launch in the fall. Older rumours suggested Rogers in Canada and Verizon in the US could launch the Pre 3 in July. HP, for its part, has only indicated that it would launch this summer.
The report also indicates that the 16GB TouchPad and most if not all accessories are constrained.
