A couple of leaked Dell roadmaps obtained by WPCentral.com and its sister site AndroidCentral.com appear to have revealed its smartphone and tablet line-ups for 2011 and the first quarter of 2012. The slides come from a “very reliable tipster.”
On the smartphone side, expect to see the following:
- Mid-April 2011: A refresh of the Dell Venue Pro as the Dell Venue Pro MLK (with new features and enhancements)
- July 2011: The Dell Wrigley with Windows Phone 7 Next Gen (likely an updated Windows Phone 7 version), a 1GHz processor, a 4-inch WVGA display, and an 8MP camera with 720p video capture
- September 2011: The Dell Hancock with Android Ice Cream, a dual-core processor, a slide-out keyboard, 4-inch qHD display, a rear-facing 8MP camera capable of 1080p video recording, and a front-facing 1.3MP camera
- October 2011: The Dell Millenium with Android Ice Cream, dual-core processor, 4.3-inch qHD display, 8MP camera capable of 1080p video recording, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, and DLNA connectivity
On the tablet side, four tablets appear to be in the works:
- April 2011: The Gallo with Android 3.0 (Honeycomb)
- June 2011: The Dell Rosemount with Windows 7 and a display offering a resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels (the 10-inch tablet that Dell announced earlier this month?)
- October 2011: The Dell Sterling with Android 3.0 (Honeycomb)
- Early 2012: Three tablets, the Dell Opus One and Silver Oak with Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and the Peju with Windows 8
The tablet roadmap also shows what appears to be updates for the Dell Streak 7 and the Gallo in Q3 and Q4 respectively.
It’s interesting that Ice Cream will be on smartphones before the tablets. Maybe that will change by the time these tablets hit the street.
