JP Morgan is the latest to weigh in with its prediction as to what we can expect from Apple and its iPhone. Their “research” points to two new models, the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4 Plus, being unveiled this fall.
The research note by analyst Mark Moskowitz suggests that the iPhone 5 will be a world phone supporting both CDMA and GSM but not LTE. He expects that it will use an A5 processor (similar to the iPad 2’s) or possibly a newer A6 version. It will also come with a larger display and 1GB RAM. It will also sport a “lighter, thinner form factor.” The iPhone 4 Plus (it has also been called the iPhone 4 S) will come with “some improvements” and will be the new entry level iPhone (taking over from the aging iPhone 3GS).
Moskowitz also expects that Apple could announce Sprint Wireless as a new carrier for the iPhone 5 and both China Mobile and China Telecom for the iPhone 4 Plus.
Now if we could only get an announcement…
