N4BB has apparently obtained new details about the BlackBerry Colt, RIM’s first BBX Superphone. They have also obtained an image that confirms previous rumours that indicated it would have a slab design like that of the BlackBerry Torch 9860:
The BlackBerry Colt will feature an outer stainless steel bezel unibody similar to that of the Bold 9900 but will be thinner. It will not have any physical buttons and will come with an “all swipe” inner bezel and both front and rear-facing cameras. It will be powered by RIM’s just unveiled BBX operating system (based on QNX).
It now appears that the BlackBerry Colt will be out in mid-2012 rather than Q1 as initially rumoured.
