HTC launched two Android tablets this year, the 7-inch Flyer and the larger 10-inch Jetstream, but has continued to focus primarily on the smartphone market. Peter Chou, the company’s CEO has indicated that this could change next year as the company plans to introduce a new tablet model. Chou indicated that HTC is looking to “see whether we can make ourselves stand out” and build something that cannot be called “a me-too product.”
Chou did not say how HTC could break out from the Android tablet pack. Could it use its HTC Sense user interface overlay or will it instead go for a performance benchmark? Or something completely different?
