Only a day after indicating that it would not upgrade the HTC Desire to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) due to memory limitations, HTC has reversed its decision and has reconfirmed that it will upgrade the device after all. The latest post on this saga on its HTC UK Facebook page reads: “Contrary to what we said earlier, we are going to bring Gingerbread to HTC Desire.”
It’s not clear what prompted the reversal. If there was not enough memory yesterday, has HTC decided to remove certain features to be able to make it fit?
