With Microsoft and its partners still rolling out both February (the pre-update) and March (NoDo) Windows Phone 7 update to their customers, one manufacturer appears to be taking a somewhat different approach. HTC has apparently begun pushing out its own Windows Phone 7 udpate.
So far it appears that the “HTC update for Windows Phone” is limited to HTC devices which have been updated to NoDo using the ChevronWP7.Updater (released by the same team that first jailbroke Windows Phone 7).
It’s not clear what the update does but it does seem to be the first Windows Phone 7 update pushed out by a manufacturer rather than a carrier or Microsoft themselves.
