BGR.com has received word from one of its sources that HP may be looking to have the TouchPad out by the end of June. Pricing would fall in the US$699 range. It’s likely that this would be for the 16GB version with the 32GB version coming in slightly higher. It’s also not clear if this would be for the Wi-Fi only version or one with 3G connectivity.
Assuming that this pricing sticks, it means that the entry-level Apple iPad is US$200 cheaper. Much like the Motorola XOOM which is rumoured to go on sale for US$799, the HP TouchPad’s price could be its own worst enemy.
