Google today announced that Google I/O 2012 will take place on April 24th and 25th. It will once again take place at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco.
The last event saw the introduction of Chromebooks, the Android 3.1 announcement, and confirmation that the next version of Android would be called Ice Cream Sandwich and would reunite smartphones and tablets under a single version.
It remains to be seen if Google will announce Jelly Bean (if that is to be the next major release’s name) at Google I/O 2012. Jelly Bean is rumoured to contain “game-changing stuff” originally scheduled for Ice Cream Sandwich.
Registration details will be revealed in the near future.
