Motorola today began to push out the Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) update to Wi-Fi XOOM devices. The latest version includes a new screen-zooming feature that resizes phone apps so that they fit the tablet’s screen better and much-awaited support for the SD card slot. If rumours are true, it should also include support for 7-inch displays (although no such tablets are yet available).
Parts of Android 3.2 have also been released to the Android Open Source Project (as Google is required to do by the GPL license).
It’s not clear if the initial rollout is limited to the US or not. If any Canadian Motorola XOOM owners have received it, drop us a note below to let everyone know.
