Canadians will be happy to know that the Galaxy Nexus, the first smartphone to use Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) will be available here sometime in November. The confirmation comes via a post made by Andy Rubin, Senior Vice President, Mobile at Google, announcing the new smartphone and latest version of Android: “Starting in November, Galaxy Nexus will be available in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.” (my emphasis).
There is no word yet on which carrier(s) will offer the Galaxy Nexus. With both LTE and HSPA+ models available, I suspect more than one carrier will be offering it soon.
