When Microsoft teased us with four new Windows Phone Mango devices back in July, one of the devices (the Samsung SGH-i937?) appeared to sport a front-facing camera despite there not being any confirmed support for such a feature in the latest Windows Phone specification. It is now confirmed that Mango will support forward-facing cameras:
Nice, they just confirmed at TechEd NZ that #WP7 devices with forward facing cameras are coming with Mango – and Skype will support it.
As the tweet indicates, Skype for Windows Phone will support front-facing cameras.
Windows Phone 7 Mango smartphones from Acer and Asus have also been spotted at the TechEd New Zealand event where the announcement was made.
