Take this one with a heap of salt but a new report suggests that the first Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) device could be out as early as August. An article by the Japan-based Nikkei suggests that the device will come from Fujitsu and will be offered by Japanese carrier KDDI.
The device is known as the Fujitsu IS12T and apparently comes with a 3.7-inch display and is water-resistant. It could well be the same device as the one spotted only days ago at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference.
A recent rumour suggested that Windows Phone Mango devices could be out in September. Maybe an August launch is not so farfetched after all. Then again, would Microsoft allow a Mango device to launch ahead of its own official announcement? When Microsoft formally unveiled Mango, it indicated that it would launch in September, suggesting that the Nikkei report may be a bit too optimistic.
