As part of its 4G announcement, AT&T revealed the Samsung Infuse 4G, an HSPA+ smarpthone (rather than LTE). It joins the Motorola ATRIX 4G and HTC Inspire 4G in the carrier’s fleet of 4G devices (which includes both HSPA+ and LTE in AT&T’s world).
The Samsung Infuse 4G (part of Samsung’s Galaxy S family) will be powered by a 1.2 GHz Hummingbird processor and Google Android 2.2 (with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI). It will pack a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display (which promises better contrast and outdoor readability), an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3 front-facing camera. It also promises to be the thinnest AT&T smartphone to date.
AT&T will launch the Samsung Infuse in the second quarter. Pricing was not revealed.
