Canadian retailers dropping HP TouchPad price by CA$70 ahead of launch

The HP TouchPad is set to make its Canadian debut on Friday, July 15^th. Just days before the launch, a number of Canadian retailers have dropped the price by CA$70.

Best Buy, Future Shop, London Drugs and Staples are now offering the 16GB version for CA$449.99 and the 32GB version for CA$549.99. Some retailers (for example, HP itself and The Source) have yet to follow suit.

Whatever the reason, it’s only good news for customers and should help HP move a few more TouchPads as well.

Rogers files court injunction to block GLENTEL sale to Bell
