A rumour yesterday suggested that Microsoft and Nokia might use an August 17th Gamescom event to unveil Nokia’s first Windows Phone device. The rumour appears to have been put to rest by a ThisIsMyNext.com “trusted source.” Instead, the two companies plan to meet with local developers.
With this rumour put to rest, we’re back to a possible October unveiling, either at Nokia World (October 26th) or a bit sooner at CTIA (October 10th to 13th in San Diego. Considering that Nokia is planning a European-focused launch, Nokia World is a better bet.
