AT&T begins supporting PlayBook Bridge app

RIM BlackBerry PlayBook

Good news today for BlackBerry PlayBook users on the AT&T network. It may have taken about two months but AT&T is finally offering the Bridge app. It was the only carrier not to do so at the launch of the BlackBerry PlayBook.

For those not familiar with the BlackBerry Bridge app, it mirrors the existing messages, contacts, calendar, memopad, tasks, and BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) that appear on your BlackBerry smartphone. For example, through BlackBerry Bridge, you can use your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet to respond to an email that was received on your BlackBerry smartphone or send a picture to a BBM contact. Pretty cool!

BlackBerry Bridge is available immediately for free in BlackBerry App World. It will require a subscription to a US$20 monthly plan to share data though.
