US carriers have yet to announce what new Nokia devices they will carry (although T-Mobile USA may reveal their plans today). That does not mean that they are already testing Nokia’s new Windows Phone devices. CNET has learned that both AT&T and Verizon are already testing 4G LTE versions of the Nokia Lumia 800.
Past rumours have already suggested that AT&T would offer an LTE-enabled Lumia 800 model. They also hinted that the Lumia 9000 would be coming to North American shores.
Given that the current version of Windows Phone does not support LTE, the implication is that Nokia’s devices are likely running an updated version (Tango could be announced at CES).
