BGR.com is reporting today that AT&T has begun preparations to launch the Apple iPhone 5. “A proven source” outlined some of what AT&T is doing. Retail employees have been asked to complete any type of training as quickly as possible. Managers have also been asked to make sure that employee training is complete to make sure that employees are available to deal with the expected customer influx.
A separate report from MacRumors.com also indicates that AT&T is looking to hire additional staff. It has apparently reached out to former employees to ask them to come back from August 15th to September 15th to support the “holidays, new product launches and back to school time.”
Recent rumours point to a busy fall for Apple with the launch of the iPhone (perhaps even two), a new iPad with Retina Display, and likely new iPods.
